Our Grounds & National Gardens Scheme Garden

A private garden for you, but more besides..

For everyone:

Although within walking distance of the village centre, Cosawes is tucked away within 17 acres of the most glorious Cornish countryside. Tremayne Barn, Carvosso Mill and the Linhay at Cosawes each have their own private enclosed gardens, but each property also has access to fantastic mixed woodland walks and to our fields beyond.

A wonderful, rare space for morning walks, exploring, den making or just watching the birds, foxes and rabbits from afar. We can supply you with picnic blankets for your summer days in the garden. Enjoy the feeling of space and time to relax in it…enjoy the views and take in the air.

For the garden lover:

We are very proud to say that we have been National Gardens Scheme garden since 2013. The Garden has a range of varied and interesting plants – there is a fig tree in the internal courtyard, and wisteria thrives in the sunshine. Magnolias bloom and the rhododendrons are glorious. It has been tendered by the present gardeners here for over 25 years and (if you are curious!) you may well see them and be able to ask them questions about the garden during your stay (or share your knowledge with us).

As well as our own garden, if you are a garden lover, you will be spoilt for choice of classic Cornish gardens to visit, all within easy car journeys. These include the Eden Project (www.edenproject.com), the Lost Gardens of Heligan (www.heligan.com), Trebah (www.trebah.com), Enys Trust (www.enystrust.org.uk), Trelissick (www.nationaltrust.org.uk/trellisickgarden) or Trevarno (www.trevarno.co.uk). All are glorious! We have also teamed up with a local provider to provide you with your own bespoke garden tours (with transport provided) to add a real touch of relaxation to your trip. Please contact Louise for further details.
