We welcome children of all ages!
Before we moved here, we always took our family holidays in Cornwall. It was everything we wanted and we created many happy memories that will stay with us forever. Cosawes Barton has three child friendly cottages. We welcome children and as parents ourselves, we know that parents enjoy holidays when the children enjoy theirs! We have cots and highchairs that are available free on charge and have a network of local babysitters if you need a night off!
As child friendly cottages in Cornwall, children are also welcome to:
- explore the grounds here at Cosawes – we hope that a few new dens will be built by our smaller guests!
- come with us to collect the eggs each morning;
- play in the Games Room which has a snooker table and table football if time out is needed! We also have a selection of DVDs and board games.
- play on the Rainbow Play System for the under 10s – out of earshot of the cottages – but with a fantastic view for adults too!
Cosawes is a great base for children to explore beaches on the Roseland, in Falmouth, on the Lizard or on the North Coast. We love just spending hours on the glorious local beaches, and children can enjoy digging, running, body boarding and rock pooling. Crabbing at the nearly Pandora Inn is also a must (www.pandorainn.com) – we have a stock of crabbing nets for you to borrow – and you are sure to catch something – even if you are a novice.
Other trips for children that we would highly recommend include:
Pendennis and St Mawes Castles for the swashbucklers amongst the kids,
The Eden Project (www.edenproject.com),
The Falmouth National Maritime Museum (www.nmmc.co.uk),
The National Seal Sanctuary just down the road at Gweek (www.sealsanctuary.co.uk),
The magical trip over the causeway to St Michaels Mount (www.stmichaelsmount.co.uk)
The amazing Padstow Lobster Hatchery (www.nationallobsterhatchery.co.uk)
or, of course, the boat trips and watersports activities nearby.
